DESCRIPTION:Empower yourself to turn data into insight with confidence. In this dynamic workshop\, participants will learn how to use SAVI effectively – building the skills needed not only to navigate the platform with ease\, but also to support others with basic technical guidance and data questions. You’ll gain practical experience designing measurable questions\, avoiding common data pitfalls\, uncovering and applying qualitative insights\, and creating clear\, compelling charts. Through a high-impact mix of hands-on practice and live demonstrations\, this workshop equips you with the tools\, confidence\, and data literacy that can help you to make smarter\, data-informed decisions. \nWho Should Attend?\n\nIdeal participants are those that are looking to have a more in-depth understanding of SAVI mechanics\, basics of data literacy\, pitfalls\, sensemaking\, storytelling and informed decision making. \nWhat Do I Need For the Training? SUMMARY:Developing Major Gifts
DESCRIPTION:The Fund Raising School and the Evansville Area Fundraising Council (EAFC)\, with the generous underwriting support of the Welborn Baptist Foundation\, are pleased to present Developing Major Gifts over three days in Evansville\, Indiana at a special discounted rate of $400 to EAFC members. The course will be hosted at The Griffin Center on the University of Southern Indiana campus on Wednesday\, October 28 through Friday\, October 30th from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The instructors for this course are Caitie Deranek Stewart and Travis Tester. \nNormal tuition for this course is $1\,495 and combined with travel\, hotel and per diem your costs would easily exceed $2\,000. You are saving more than $1\,500 by taking the course through EAFC. This course does count towards the Certificate in Fund Raising Management. More information about the course can be found here. \nRegistration priority is given to EAFC members. \nIf you would like to attend Developing Major Gifts this fall in Evansville at the special rate (no refunds)\, please complete this registration form and send it with your payment no later than September 25\, 2026. You can also make your payment online. \nThis special rate is exclusively for members of EAFC. If you aren’t a member\, please register for membership online (please note your $50 payment for EAFC membership needs to be separate from your payment for The Fund Raising School). This course is limited to 40 participants and you don’t want to miss out on this tremendous opportunity! Its courses help professionals gain the knowledge to build resources for their organization with confidence and success in an ever-changing society. \nThe Evansville Area Fundraising Council (EAFC) was created in 1999 as a professional association for development officers to promote planned giving\, promote education and professional expertise of council members\, and encourage networking and support among its members. Members enjoy educational meetings featuring speakers who present relevant\, current topics related to fundraising and nonprofits\, access to a network of peers and professionals working in the area of charitable giving\, continuing education opportunities through The Fund Raising School at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy\, name and organization published in the EAFC Membership Directory\, and the option to join the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. \nThe Fund Raising School began offering six of its primary courses in Evansville in November 2010 and will continue to offer a course each year as funding allows.
