DESCRIPTION:Since its foundation in 2002 as a nonprofit organization\, HOLA has been dedicated to fostering appreciation for cultural diversity and promoting the successful inclusion of Latinos in the community. In collaboration with Ivy Tech Community College\, the University of Evansville\, the University of Southern Indiana and the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP)\, we developed a comprehensive leadership series aimed at achieving the following outcome: To equip participants with advanced professional development training that enhances their skills\,\nexpands their knowledge\, and sharpens their strategic thinking. This training empowers participants to navigate complex challenges\, make meaningful contributions\, and foster a culture of innovation\, belonging\, and continuous growth within their workplaces\, communities\, and organizations. \nThe Fourth Cohort will start at Ivy Tech Community College on August 1st\, 2025. \nNote: These six one-day sessions will be held over a year\, rotating between Ivy Tech Community College\, University of Evansville\, and University of Southern Indiana. SUMMARY:Financial Management for Nonprofit Leaders and Board Members: A Financial Literacy Series
DESCRIPTION:This training series on financial management is designed to equip individuals and organizations with the necessary skills to understand\, interpret and navigate financial reports and processes. The series covers a wide range of topics including financial statements\, budgeting\, financial planning\, and sustainability. Participants will learn about the roles and responsibilities of board members\, executive directors\, and other leaders in the budgeting process. The training will also provide insights into financial literacy and how to prevent fiscal fraud\, which are critical for any nonprofit organization’s success. With a focus on practical and applicable knowledge\, the training series aims to empower nonprofits with the tools they need to make informed financial decisions\, ensure financial stability\, and maximize their impact. By the end of the series\, participants will have a solid foundation in financial management\, enabling them to better understand their organization’s financial health\, identify areas for improvement\, and take appropriate actions to achieve their financial goals. DESCRIPTION:As a donor\, do you ever question whether your donations are having the impact you expect?  Do you often feel like you are just writing checks to organizations because they asked or because it makes you feel good? \nOver the past eight years\, our program\, Giving for Impact\, has made a tremendous difference in how people donate and partner with nonprofits. \nThe sole purpose of our training is to equip attendees with knowledge and help in developing relationships with the nonprofit community.  The training encourages individuals to learn more about who they are as donors by teaching them to identify their personal mission\, vision\, and core values to create charitable impact.  As a donor\, they will be equipped to know how to find fulfillment in their giving. \nOnce an individual understands who they are as a donor\, the program will build on that understanding by equipping them with knowledge of what a strong nonprofit organization looks like.  Donors will learn how to ask the right questions when meeting with a nonprofit and how to determine if they are actually making a difference.  Participants will learn what a healthy nonprofit partnership looks like and be able to create their own personal plan and philosophy of giving. \nGiving for Impact is a great training program for individual donors as well as family foundations\, financial advisors\, wealth managers\, CPA’s\, estate planners\, attorneys or trust advisors. Regardless if you donate $50.00 per year or $50\,000.00 per year\, Giving for Impact is for anyone who desires to have a clearer understanding of themselves as a donor and has a desire to make a greater impact through their giving. \nJamie D. Levy\, from JDLevy & Associates\, an international speaker\, consultant\, and adjunct professor at Indiana University School of Philanthropy\, IU Fund Raising School\, and IU Paul H.
