SUMMARY:HOLA Professional Development Series
DESCRIPTION:Since its foundation in 2002 as a nonprofit organization\, HOLA has been dedicated to fostering appreciation for cultural diversity and promoting the successful inclusion of Latinos in the community. In collaboration with Ivy Tech Community College\, the University of Evansville\, the University of Southern Indiana and the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP)\, we developed a comprehensive leadership series aimed at achieving the following outcome: To equip participants with advanced professional development training that enhances their skills\,\nexpands their knowledge\, and sharpens their strategic thinking. This training empowers participants to navigate complex challenges\, make meaningful contributions\, and foster a culture of innovation\, belonging\, and continuous growth within their workplaces\, communities\, and organizations. \nThe Fourth Cohort will start at Ivy Tech Community College on August 1st\, 2025. \nNote: These six one-day sessions will be held over a year\, rotating between Ivy Tech Community College\, University of Evansville\, and University of Southern Indiana. Light breakfast\, lunch and materials included. \nRegistration Deadline: 7/15/2025

DESCRIPTION:Presented by Amy Bolek\, Founder and President of Bolek Grant Writing\, this is an introductory training designed to equip participants with the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to start writing successful foundation grant proposals. This training is most ideal for individuals and organizations new to grant writing\, or for those seeking a refresher. \nObjectives: \n\nBasics – Participants will gain new or improved understanding of the essential components of a grant proposal.\nThree Cs – Participants will learn practical tips and strategies for crafting Complete\, Compliant\, and Competitive applications that meticulously adhere to grant guidelines and requirements but also include unique elements to substantially enhance the likelihood of a funding award.\n\nDuring this half-day training\, Amy will also share some experiences\, valuable lessons and insights gained during her nearly 20 year tenure as a grant writing consultant.
