Basics of Grant Writing

The Basics of Grant Writing workshop introduces fundamental concepts, methodologies, and best practices in grant writing. This 8-hour, in-person session equips participants who are relatively new to grant writing with essential knowledge and practical skills needed to create successful grant proposals.
Through facilitator-led instruction and hands-on application during the session, participants will learn:
- Essential components of a grant proposal
- The Three Cs: Creating Complete, Compliant, and Competitive applications
- Key grant writing concepts and terminology
- How grant proposals are structured
- Practical strategies to enhance funding success
This training prepares participants to apply their learning immediately. Dedicated workshop time will allow you to work on a current grant application or create grant-ready content for your next application, with guidance and support from the facilitator and fellow participants.
