The Management Performance Hub partnered with the Indiana University School of Medicine, RTI International, the Indiana Department of Health, the Department of Homeland Security, the Indiana State Police, the Professional Licensing Agency, the Department of Correction, and the Governor’s Drug Prevention, Treatment, and Enforcement (DPTE) Office, to develop a real-time public-facing dashboard displaying touchpoints that occurred prior to a fatal overdose. This collaboration was funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) under the HEAL Data2Action Program (HD2A) as a component of the Fatal Overdose Review Teams Research to Enhance Surveillance Systems (FORTRESS) project. The primary objective of the project is to equip County Overdose Fatality Review Teams with a dashboard on local overdose intervention points to surveil patterns in poisoning events and identify opportunities to intervene prior to a fatal drug overdose.
