The Fund Raising School, a program of the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University, is located in Indianapolis, Indiana and annually helps hundreds of fundraising professionals around the world achieve new levels of success. The Fund Raising School teaches the historical and philanthropic context, current issues, and the art and science of fundraising and philanthropy. Through its courses a person gains the knowledge needed to build resources for their organization with confidence and success in an ever-changing society.

The Evansville Area Fundraising Council (EAFC) was created in 1999 as a professional association for development officers to promote planned giving, promote education and professional expertise of council members, and encourage networking and support among its members. Members enjoy educational meetings featuring speakers who present relevant, current topics related to fundraising and nonprofits, access to a network of peers and professionals working in the area of charitable giving, continuing education opportunities through The Fund Raising School at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, name and organization published in the EAFC Membership Directory, and the option to join the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

The Fund Raising School began offering six of its primary courses in Evansville in November 2010 and will continue to offer a course each year as funding allows. This means that for the development professional who is serious about obtaining certificates from the nation’s only fundraising school the opportunity exists at a very small cost to you or your organization.

You must be a member of the Evansville Area Fundraising Council to receive the rate of $400. If you’re not a member of EAFC, you can join by visiting the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners website at www.charitablegiftplanners.org/join. (EAFC is a member of this group.) You will need to log into your account and/or set up an account. You can then join/renew online by selecting the IN – Evansville Area Fundraising Council – $50.00,  and choose to “Pay by Credit Card” or select “Pay by Check”.
