    Using Data to Inform Strategic Priorities in Your Community

    To expand opportunity and well-being for residents, local leaders need the right data and the skills to put the data into action. This session will help participants identify the most relevant data sources to understand their community’s upward mobility challenges and set clear, actionable priorities. Through real-world examples, you’ll learn how other communities have used data to advance mobility goals. We’ll also introduce practical tools and guidance from chapters 4 and 5 of the Toolkit for Increasing Upward Mobility, showing you how to apply these resources in your own work. Whether you’re starting your planning process or strengthening a data-driven approach, this session offers practical insights and tools to inform every stage, from assessing local conditions to implementing solutions.
