HOLA Professional Development Series
Since its foundation in 2002 as a nonprofit organization, HOLA has been dedicated to fostering appreciation for cultural diversity and promoting the successful inclusion of Latinos in the community. In collaboration with Ivy Tech Community College, the University of Evansville, the University of Southern Indiana and the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP), we developed a comprehensive leadership series aimed at achieving the following outcome: To equip participants with advanced professional development training that enhances their skills, expands their knowledge, and sharpens their strategic thinking. This training empowers participants to navigate complex challenges, make meaningful contributions, and foster a culture of innovation, belonging, and continuous growth within their workplaces, communities, and organizations. The Fourth Cohort will start at Ivy Tech Community College on August 1st, 2025. Note: These six one-day sessions will be held over a year, rotating between Ivy Tech Community College, University of Evansville, and University of Southern Indiana. Idea to Action Incubator
This dynamic two day event is designed to empower project teams and individuals with the tools, expertise, and connections needed to transform their innovative ideas into actional community engagement initiatives. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops on understanding community needs, sustainable project design, effective story telling & communication, financial planning & project budgeting and goal setting & assessment techniques. These workshops will be lead by subject-matter experts from higher education, nonprofits, grant-making organizations, entrepreneurs, and business leaders. Attendees will register as individuals, but have the option to attend the event as part of a project team (must consist of at least one representative from a CEA member campus and community partner). Attendees who register as part of a project team will have the option to compete in a pitch competition. Winners of the pitch competition will receive a $5,000 CEA grant to fund their project idea!
