HOLA Professional Development Series
Since its foundation in 2002 as a nonprofit organization, HOLA has been dedicated to fostering appreciation for cultural diversity and promoting the successful inclusion of Latinos in the community. In collaboration with Ivy Tech Community College, the University of Evansville, the University of Southern Indiana and the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP), we developed a comprehensive leadership series aimed at achieving the following outcome: To equip participants with advanced professional development training that enhances their skills, expands their knowledge, and sharpens their strategic thinking. This training empowers participants to navigate complex challenges, make meaningful contributions, and foster a culture of innovation, belonging, and continuous growth within their workplaces, communities, and organizations. The Fourth Cohort will start at Ivy Tech Community College on August 1st, 2025. Note: These six one-day sessions will be held over a year, rotating between Ivy Tech Community College, University of Evansville, and University of Southern Indiana. Community Leadership Program
The Leadership Everyone Community Leadership Program is a 3-consecutive-day and 2-night retreat experience at the beautiful Barn Abbey in New Harmony, Indiana. The LE calendar offers you options with multiple sessions a year. Choose the session most convenient for you.
Planned Giving: Getting the Proper Start
The Fund Raising School and the Evansville Area Fundraising Council (EAFC), with the generous underwriting support of the Welborn Baptist Foundation, are pleased to present Planned Giving: Getting the Proper Start on Tuesday, October 21 through Thursday, October 23 in Evansville, Indiana (University of Southern Indiana campus) at the special rate of $400 to EAFC members. The faculty members for this course are Phil Purcell and Dean Regenovich. Normal tuition for this course is $1,295 and combined with travel, hotel and per diem your costs would easily exceed $2,000. You are saving over $1,500 by taking the course through EAFC. This course does count towards the Certificate in Fund Raising Management and is required to receive the CFRM. Excel Basics Workshop: Build a Strong Foundation
Take the guesswork out of spreadsheets. This hands-on workshop introduces the essential tools and features of Microsoft Excel to help you become confident in organizing and analyzing data. You’ll learn how to navigate the interface, format cells, enter and manage data, create simple formulas, and design basic charts. Whether you’re brand new to Excel or looking to refresh your skills, this session will equip you with the practical knowledge to use Excel more efficiently in your everyday work. Key skills you’ll gain: Navigating the Excel workspace with ease Formatting data for clarity and consistency Using basic formulas and functions Creating simple tables and charts to visualize information Create and modify illustrations, logos, shapes Enter and convert numerical and text data, as well as perform calculations with dates and times Arrange, filter, and sort lists of data by text, color and custom criterions to keep data organized This offering can be part of a 3 part series on Excel.
