HOLA Professional Development Series
Since its foundation in 2002 as a nonprofit organization, HOLA has been dedicated to fostering appreciation for cultural diversity and promoting the successful inclusion of Latinos in the community. In collaboration with Ivy Tech Community College, the University of Evansville, the University of Southern Indiana and the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP), we developed a comprehensive leadership series aimed at achieving the following outcome: To equip participants with advanced professional development training that enhances their skills, expands their knowledge, and sharpens their strategic thinking. This training empowers participants to navigate complex challenges, make meaningful contributions, and foster a culture of innovation, belonging, and continuous growth within their workplaces, communities, and organizations. The Fourth Cohort will start at Ivy Tech Community College on August 1st, 2025. Note: These six one-day sessions will be held over a year, rotating between Ivy Tech Community College, University of Evansville, and University of Southern Indiana. Using Data to Inform Strategic Priorities in Your Community
To expand opportunity and well-being for residents, local leaders need the right data and the skills to put the data into action. This session will help participants identify the most relevant data sources to understand their community’s upward mobility challenges and set clear, actionable priorities. Through real-world examples, you’ll learn how other communities have used data to advance mobility goals. We’ll also introduce practical tools and guidance from chapters 4 and 5 of the Toolkit for Increasing Upward Mobility, showing you how to apply these resources in your own work. Whether you’re starting your planning process or strengthening a data-driven approach, this session offers practical insights and tools to inform every stage, from assessing local conditions to implementing solutions.
