This 6-linked module, focusing on competency development in the areas of leading a nonprofit is designed for new Executive Directors and next generation leaders.
Participants will learn the basic mechanics of SAVI tools and feel excited to engage with the SAVI data system on the Grow platform.
Participants will have the confidence to use SAVI and to provide limited technical assistance to others on the mechanics of SAVI, as well as the basics of data literacy, pitfalls, sense-making, storytelling, and informed decision-making.
This series participation includes two members (board president or designated board member and ED), partner through this cohort-based learning experience, building communication effectiveness and implementation strength. In Sustain Abilities, the focus is on more engaged boards, building board culture, deeper donor relationships, with a financial plan developed by the end of the program, working toward long-term sustainability. This session is 2.5.

The Community Impact Training Session is an Open Session, to be held on 9-5-24, 8:30 – 12:30 PM Central Time. This is a VIRTUAL session, open to any board members of your board, staff members or volunteers who desire an introduction to philanthropy. This session provides a condensed version of what participants experience in the Welborn Baptist Foundation’s Sustain Abilities 1.0 experience. This session can also serve as a “refresher” for those who have taken part in Sustain Abilities before. We see this as an opportunity to invite organizations, not yet a part of Sustain Abilities, to gain an understanding of philanthropic sustainability and the culture of building “advocates”.
