Since its foundation in 2002 as a nonprofit organization, HOLA has been dedicated to fostering appreciation for cultural diversity and promoting the successful inclusion of Latinos in the community. In collaboration with Ivy Tech Community College, the University of Evansville, the University of Southern Indiana and the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP), we developed a comprehensive leadership series aimed at achieving the following outcome: To equip participants with advanced professional development training that enhances their skills, expands their knowledge, and sharpens their strategic thinking. This training empowers participants to navigate complex challenges, make meaningful contributions, and foster a culture of innovation, belonging, and continuous growth within their workplaces, communities, and organizations. The Fifth Cohort will start at Ivy Tech Community College on August 7th, 2026 Note: These six one-day sessions will be held over a year, rotating between Ivy Tech Community College, University of Evansville, and University of Southern Indiana. In this dynamic workshop, participants will learn how to use SAVI effectively - building the skills needed not only to navigate the platform with ease, but also to support others with basic technical guidance and data questions. You’ll gain practical experience designing measurable questions, avoiding common data pitfalls, uncovering and applying qualitative insights, and creating clear, compelling charts. Through a high-impact mix of hands-on practice and live demonstrations, this workshop equips you with the tools, confidence, and data literacy that can help you to make smarter, data-informed decisions. Who Should Attend? Ideal participants are those that are looking to have a more in-depth understanding of SAVI mechanics, basics of data literacy, pitfalls, sensemaking, storytelling and informed decision making.
